Tsai Yin-chuan, director of “Tears on Fire”, joined us in person to talk about the challenges of filming, how she raised the funds for “Paradise Lost (The Burning House)”, and which are harder to settle on set — animal actors or child actors. She also spoke about something many people care about: the current state of children’s homes in Taiwan, and what members of the public should not do. The audience asked questions eagerly — a sign of just how caring a society Taiwan is.

Chen Shih-hsien, who has devoted many years to researching Taiwan’s historic sites and ancient tombs, brought a wealth of detail to the evening. Copyright limits how much we can share here, but the lively questions from the floor showed how many people truly love heritage culture.

On 10 June 2026, Lin Chia-feng, chief executive of Story Works, shared without reservation how he has run a theatre company over the years. Everything is held in order — from personnel management and contract drafting to revenue streams — and it was impressive to see the care, the discipline and the all-in courage of the man behind box-office takings in the tens of millions.

Flautist Lin Chia-hua was specially invited to perform live.
